Job Description:
Make a Life-Changing Impact in Renal Nutrition at DaVita
Are you passionate about building meaningful, long-term relationships with patients while utilizing your clinical nutrition expertise? DaVita Kidney Care is seeking passionate Registered Dietitians (RD/RDN) to join our collaborative interdisciplinary teams across the Central Oasis Division in Florida.
As a Renal Dietitian at DaVita, you are an essential clinical leader. You will work alongside nephrologists, registered nurses, social workers, and patient care technicians to develop personalized Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) plans that directly influence patient outcomes and enhance quality of life.
Whether you are an experienced renal dietitian looking to advance your career or a newly credentialed dietitian looking to specialize in nephrology with comprehensive mentorship, we have exciting opportunities tailored to your clinical goals.
What You Will Do
In this role, you will provide specialized nutritional care, education, and advocacy for individuals living with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and end-stage renal disease (ESRD):
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and ongoing reassessments in alignment with clinical best practices and CMS guidelines.
- Partner closely with patients, families, and the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to design and update individualized care plans (Plan of Care).
- Interpret and monitor complex clinical laboratory values (including albumin, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, Kt/V, and fluid balance) to guide nutritional interventions.
- Lead Mineral and Bone Disorder (MBD) management and therapy adherence within your assigned clinics.
- Utilize Motivational Interviewing techniques to empower patients toward sustainable dietary and lifestyle changes.
- Provide culturally sensitive nutrition education and practical counseling for patients and their caregivers.
- Facilitate annual nutrition-focused in-service education for clinic teammates.
- Participate actively in Facility Health Meetings, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives, and interdisciplinary care conferences.

- Predictable Schedule and Work-Life Balance: Enjoy daytime clinic hours with steady weekday schedules—say goodbye to overnight hospital shifts and high-stress on-call rotations.
- Structured Career Pathways & Growth: Advance through our structured Clinical Ladder (Dietitian Associate, Intermediate, Experienced, Advanced, Expert) and access leadership opportunities such as Divisional Lead, MI Mentor, or Preceptor.
- Continuous Learning & CEUs: Access the DaVita University (DVU) School of RD Excellence, an extensive Continuing Education library, and sponsored training workshops.
- Strong Mentorship & Peer Support: Collaborate with experienced Lead Dietitians and a dedicated regional network of clinical nutrition professionals across Florida.
- Comprehensive Total Rewards: Competitive compensation, medical/dental/vision coverage, generous PTO, 401(k) with company match, tuition assistance, and holistic wellness benefits.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Clinical Nutrition, or related field.
- Credential: Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credentialed through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), or exam-eligible new graduates meeting prerequisite requirements.
- Licensure: Active Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LD/N) license in the State of Florida (or eligible to obtain upon hire).
- Clinical Experience: We welcome candidates at all experience levels. Specialized experience in renal/dialysis nutrition is preferred but not required—comprehensive onboarding and clinical training are provided for all incoming dietitians.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal communication, active listening, motivational counseling skills, and basic computer proficiency (electronic health records, MS Office).
